MCP Knowledge1

Your knowledge base, on autopilot.

MCP Knowledge1 lets your AI search, draft, version, and publish Salesforce Knowledge articles — the full lifecycle, including the publish/version steps no other MCP server can reach. A headless knowledge base: your AI runs the lifecycle directly in your org.

Runs under your own Salesforce login. Works with any Lightning Knowledge org.

The problem

Salesforce’s own MCP servers can’t publish an article.

Publishing, versioning, and archiving Knowledge go through Salesforce’s Knowledge Management APIs, not generic record writes — so no generic MCP server can do them. MCP Knowledge1 does, end to end, in your org.

“Search → draft → publish → version. The whole lifecycle, driven by your AI.”

How it works

One install. Your AI. Your knowledge base.

🔌
Install the MCP Knowledge1 server locally
🔐
Log in once with sf org login web
🗣️
“Find the rate-card article and add a section on overrides”
A new draft version is created and updated
📣
“Publish it to the customer community” → live
~/.config/mcp/mcp-knowledge1.json — runs locally
// 1. authenticate once with your real Salesforce login
$ sf org login web

// 2. point your MCP client at the local server
{
  "command": "node",
  "args": ["~/mcp-knowledge1/server.mjs"],
  "env": {
    "KLIENT_MCP_ORG": "your-org-alias"
  }
}
✍️Author

Create articles, update drafts, and spin new draft versions of published articles — configurable to your org’s Knowledge object, body field, and language, with your custom fields supported.

“Draft a how-to on resetting timesheets, in the Support category.”
📣Publish

Publish drafts to Community / Internal / Partner channels through the Knowledge Management API.

“Publish the timesheet article to the community.” → online.
🖼️Images (CMS)

Upload images to your CMS workspace with title and alt text, and link them to articles.
